The Puppetmongers are back in Toronto starting this week, using their unique blend of humour and puppetry to delight children and grown ups alike!
I’m thrilled to be able to give away two tickets to their latest production, The Miller and his Wife, a two act melodramatic puppet situation comedy that pits a family against corruption and greed (plus you will see puppets bake a cake on stage !)
If you are unfamiliar with Puppetmongers, they are a Toronto based brother and sister team (Ann and David Powell) who have been touring internationally for nearly four decades. They tell their story in the signature style of modified Bunraku puppetry, and have received numerous awards and critical acclaim for their work.
Recommended for ages 8 and up, Puppetmongers The Miller and his Wife is sure to be a treat for the whole family! If you want to win tickets, simply tweet “I want to see puppets bake a cake life on stage thanks to @broadwaybabyto & @puppetmongers!” Winners will be chosen at random and notified via DM.
The Miller and his Wife plays at the Theatre Passe Muraille Backspace from March 6th to March 15th 2014. For more information or to purchase tickets please visit www.artsboxoffice.ca or call 416-504-7529
