On May 11th Ryerson University will pay tribute to one of Canada’s most beloved musical theatre stars – the incomparable Colm Wilkinson. The unique concert style event will celebrate his life and career and feature performances by some of Toronto’s biggest stars – including Adam Brazier, Chilina Kennedy, Aaron Walpole, Josh Young and more.
Colm is known all over the world for originating the role of Jean Valjean in Les Miserables (both in the West End as well as Broadway) and he was the first Phantom in the Canadian Company of The Phantom of the Opera. His career spans decades, continents and genres and he has inspired an entire generation of youngsters to follow in his footsteps (most notably, Broadway star and Tony Nominee Ramin Karimloo who has been quoted as saying Colm’s performance as The Phantom was what inspired him to go into musical theatre).
I’m thrilled to be able to giveaway two (2) tickets to the gala performance on May 11th to one of my lucky readers! All you need to do to enter is tweet the following between 2PM EST on Thursday May 1st and 2PM EST on Friday May 2nd:
